Ogun  Govt Commissions Agroshop

Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture officially declared opened its Agroshop  today, 12th February, 2021 in a ceremony held at State Secretariat, Oke Mosan.


The Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture Agroshop which was commissioned by Ogun State Government, Head of Service,  Alhaja Selimot Ottun;  is a one-stop shop that will serve as an avenue for workers in the Secretariat and others to buy fresh, quality and  value added Agricultural products at an affordable price from Ogun State farmers and partners.


 The Agroshop which was donated by Harvestfield Industries Ltd in December 2020,will also served as an  Agribusiness information and linkage centre for individuals interested in Agricultural  value chain opportunities in the State.


The Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina; while delivering his speech, reiterated the  administration focus on improving the agricultural sector by ensuring the availablity of healthy foods  to consumers as part of the State Agricultural Agenda for  Food Security, Food and  Nutrition in the year 2021.


Other dignitaries present at the occasion include, the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture,  the Programme Manager Ogun State Agricultural Development Agency(OGADEP), Directors in the Ministry of Agriculture,  Acting General Manager, Ogun State Agro Service Corporation, Representatives of Women Leaders, Representatives of Market Women, Representatives of Dapo Abiodun Apex Alliance Sisters,  Partners such as Harvest Field, CATO Foods, HarvestPlus and other Agricultural Stakeholders.
