MKO Declares Intent To Run for Chairmanship seat in Abeokuta South LG



Former Councillor of Abeokuta South Local Government Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu  Olajide, MKO  on Sunday officially declared his intention to contest for Chairmanship seat in Abeokuta South Local Government.


Mustapha made his declaration at Iso Eran, Itoko Abeokuta.


The aspirant while declaring amidst large crowd submitted that he is ready to support the Governor’s vision for the good people of Abeokuta South. 


He promised if elected to continue the excellent work started by the transition committee under the 

leadership of Hon. Ayodeji Shomide and also recreate an image of Abeokuta south industry, 

hard work, integrity and dedication to duty that it consistently uphold.


His words" My agenda is designed in the most simplified manner tagged “MKO DEVELOPMENT AGENDA”

MKO DEVELOPMENT AGENDA is a PLAN divided into Many categories and each with its goals;

Such as Education development programs,

Youth empowerment and support programs,

Women empowerment and support programs,

The elderly empowerment and support programs,

Agricultural Development Programs,

Communities intervention programs,

Special aid programs that supports the Artisans and people with disabilities.

Solar boreholes to communities with no access to portable water.

Data base creation to foster development.

Regular town hall meetings.

Professional trainings for graduates,

Construction of a well thought out mini tech hub,

Creation of Skills acquisition centers and empowerment,

Maintenance of our roads and streets lights.


"All this and others are well explained and contained in our campaign blue print to be released 

when the campaigns officially begins, and they will form the pillars of our visions for our dear 

local government.


"Regardless of the loud political propaganda by the opposition parties, let me assure you that 

our party the APC remains strong and capable of fulfilling our thirst for progressive change, and 

we shall do across regions, religions and generations


"Let me restate our commitment to the giant strides taken by his Excellency, Governor Prince 

Dapo Abiodun. We request he grants us an opportunity to execute these positive ideas for 

collective progress and unity of our Local Government and State at large.


"I hereby present myself to you as the bridge builder and the unifying point of Abeokuta south 

local government" he submitted.
