LG Poll: MKO Replies Majekodunmi, Expresses Disappointment Over Attack On Him

Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu Olajide, popularly known as MKO, has attacked  Hon. Omolaja Majekodunmi for accusing him of involving in ''do or die politics''

He expressed disappointment over the attack on him by Hon. Omolaja Majekodunmi.

Recall that Hon. Majekodunmi urged Hon Kodaolu Mustapha MKO, Toyosi Enilolobo and Taiwo Kelani Kelat to desist from 'do or die' politics and embrace the winner if truly they love All Progressives Congress APC in Abeokuta South and at the state level.

He said  ''I want to urge MKO, Kelat, Enilolobo and their cohort to imbibe in the spirit of sportsmanship and declare their support for my candidacy as I assure all of them a free level playing ground in the grassroots politics in Abeokuta South without leaving anyone behind in my administration." Majekodunmi said further.

MKO in his reaction said it was unfortunate for Majekodunmi to make such statement.

He described the statement as barbaric and defaming.

MKO said ''My Attention has been drawn to a fictitious statement credited to Hon. Majekodunmi by some faceless media outlets who at best can be described as Primitive.

''In the said statement, I was shocked to read the news that I should desist from do or die politics". This is not only defaming but primitive and Barbaric for this to come from someone held in high esteem and expected to be well informed.

'' Could it be that he is terrified of his shadow and already failing to stand the heat that comes along with Public discourse?. We want to believe the statement was made in error, as  this is the time to build bridges and not time to make enemies through name calling and insults.

''Every Aspiring Aspirants in Abeokuta South LG has their Fair share of supporters and therefore needs to be accorded respect and not insulted.

Here is to set the record that,  I Hon. MKO has autmost respect for all our APC Leaders especially in Abeokuta South LGA. This is visible in his constant engagements with them especially in recent times. All leaders can attest to this fact.

''I  don't  believe in or practice do or die Politicsm

'' Our dear governor's instruction is very clear which are, produce a candidate through consensus,  where there are no consensus submit 2/3 names for consideration. This is clear enough, therefore any process outside this instructions is what I can not support.

''Questions abound as to how an Accord party member few weeks ago is suddenly picked as a Vice chairman without even consultations with Aspirants or Leaders who has tirelessly toured the nook and cranny of the LGA promoting our dear Party the APC. Where then is the reward for Party loyalty, if people that work for opposition Parties at NIGHT are rewarded with positions in APC by DAY. This is demeaning and not to be heard of from our dear Party.

''I am decent, civil, and matured. I will not join issue with anyone, nor some faceless Media outlets seeking traffic using his popular name.

"I am awaiting for  the final outcome of decisions reached by the decision makers and will gladly accept the outcome for the good of our party, Local Government and State at large.
