ACT Hails Yahaya Bello On Youths Participation In Kogi Politics


The Director General For Afenifere For Collective Transformation (ACT) Prince Tolu Ajayi has applauded the Governor of Kogi State Yahaya Bello for involving youth in the State politics.


Ajayi disclosed this in a press release issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Abeokuta the State Capital.


He explained that youths are very lucky in terms of political and leadership engagement from their governor adding that youths across the country are still begging to be relevant in their local governments. 


"Kogi youths are already the ones running local government administrations effectively as chairmen and councillors. 


"Kogi youths are leaders in their various local government and the women are not left out as well being saddled with the position of Deputy local government chairpersons and party leaders across the state" he said.


The Director General explained further that the approval for the constitution of Kogi State Youth Development Commission is another giant step in the right direction that will further put Kogi state youths in the forefront of national and global development. 


He stressed that Afenifere For Collective Transformation ACT is in many ways envious of the youths of Kogi state for having a leader who is constantly putting their welfare first. 


"Afenifere For Collective Transformation hereby use this medium to call on the governor of Kogi state Governor Yahaya Bello to please help us to address his fellow governors to take the same steps by involving youths in their policies like himself. 


"We implore him to facilitate the same for other youths across the country especially for those of us in the southwest as we are seriously in need of such commission too so as to address our welfare" he affairmed.
