Tottenham considering Super Eagles star as Harry Kane’s replacement

The north Londoners could lose their top striker this summer and face the near-impossible task of replacing him with another consistent goalscorer

According to Sky Sports, Victor Osimhen is on a shortlist of potential replacements being considered by Tottenham Hotspurs should the Premier League side lose their talismanic centre-forward, Harry Kane.

Following another disappointing campaign that saw Spurs finish outside of the top four, sack manager Jose Mourinho, and end trophy-less, Kane is finally poised to leave for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The England international’s future may become clearer after the Euro 2020 tournament, but the striker is already reportedly attracting interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

As per Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have maintained that Kane is not for sale, but another Sky Sports report has revealed that the North London club is compiling a list of potential replacements for the striker, including Victor Osimhen, Danny Ings, and Ollie Watkins.

The Londoners were among a long list of suitors interested in Osimhen after his breakthrough season in France with Lille. Still, the Nigerian international eventually decided to join Serie A side, Napoli.

Osimhen’s maiden campaign in the Italian topflight did not go as planned, but the Super Eagles star finished the season strongly, scoring seven of his ten league goals in the club’s last eleven matches.

Despite the managerial change that swept aside Gennaro Gattuso for former AS Roma gaffer Luciano Spalletti, Osimhen is still keen to continue his association with the Naples-based club.

Spurs, though, could have more than enough money to spend from the potential sale of Kane, leaving everything possible during the transfer window.
