Teachers' Day: Mudashiru hails Ogun Waterside Teachers, says Teachers deserve the best

The chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government , Hon. Adekunle Abdulateef Mudashiru  has  lauded  teachers in the Local Government for their invaluable contributions to to human development.

In a congratulatory message to teachers in the Local Government on the occasion of World Teachers' Day, the Local Government boss noted that teachers play an indispensable role in the growth and transformation of any society.

Mudashiru, while appreciating the role of teachers in nurturing and guiding of pulpils and students through the lifelong process of learning, said teachers should be commended by all right-thinking persons and urged them not to rest on their oars. 

"The present administration in Ogun Waterside Local Government appreciates the invaluable contributions and sacrifices made by teachers in the Local Government to the society by imparting knowledge and shaping the future of the pupils and students despite obvious challenges," he said

He stated that teachers deserved the best from government at all levels as well as other well-meaning Nigerians.

The Local Government boss urged Teachers to continue to maintain the ethics of the noble profession.

The World Teachers' Day has been held annually on October 5 since 1994, to celebrate teachers worldwide. It aims to mobilize support for teachers and ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers. It is celebrated in over 100 countries in the world.
