Ogun host 11th Edition of the Nigeria Poultry Show

Ogun State on Tuesday host the annual event of the Nigeria Poultry show 2021of the Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) 

The program which was held at DLK Events centre, along NNPC Mega station, Abeokuta Ogun State capital.

The Nigeria Poultry show 2021 which is slated for 3 days(2nd November- 4th November 2021) with the theme: De-risking the Nigerian Poultry: stabilizing Critical inputs and Market prices for sustainability is the largest poultry exhibition  in West Africa with the aim of showcasing new innovations, technology and recent advances in the global Livestock.

In his Opening Address, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina disclosed that Ogun State Government through the Ministry of Agriculture will continue to  provide the necessary support  for the poultry sector in ensuring Food and Nutrition Security which is one of the Agricultural Agenda of the State. He further noted that the Poultry sector is very peculiar in the Agricultural Economy while disclosing that Ogun State is proud to be associated with them being the highest producer of eggs and broiler in Southwestern Nigeria.

Highlights of the events include Products Presentations, Lectures, Exhibition, Panelist discussions.

In  attendance were, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Ekiti State, Dr. Olabode Adetoyi; Director of Agric services, Ministry of Agriculture Lagos State, Mr Babatunde shonekan, ILRI Country Manager, Nigeria Dr. Tunde Adegoke; country Manager,AFEX Commodity Exchange Nigeria, Mr Ayodeji Balogun farmers group, and other stakeholders in the Poultry Value Chain
