Ogun residents calls on government to provide palliative work on the deplorable roads

 Ogun state government has been called upon to intervene by providing palliative work on the roads that link the community to  Lagos State.         

 

The Onibudo of Ayetoro- Budo/Ota, Oba (Dr.) Adewunmi Adeniji Odutala made the call at the annual thanksgiving of 6th  festival of praise held in his palace.                 


Oba Odutala opined that if the roads are linked to Lagos State from Ayobo part of Lagos State, Ogun state residents will benefit a lot in terms of commercial activities.              


The Royal father said that the community had been committing millions of naira in fixing the roads on annual basis to make it passable for vehicles, adding that the burden is becoming heavy to shoulder again.                              


He stressed further that the deplorable  condition of the roads continue to have negative effects on the socio economic well being of the people in the area.                                           


Oba Odutala further explained that the travel time of fifteen minutes now take longer hours to connect either Lagos or Sango.                                     


The Royal father commended the present administration under Governor Dapo Abiodun for his revolutionary drive on roads construction, rehabilitation and expansion since he assumed office, saying that all deplorable roads in the state cannot be fixed under two years.             


He therefore urged all relevant stakeholders like multinational companies and corporate organisations within the state to complement government efforts at providing conducive and motorable roads throughout the state.             On the 6th festival of praise, Oba Odutala said that the purpose was to give thanks to God and also use the period for tourist attraction for the community.                               


The Royal father said that he is confident that Nigeria will soon come out from its  present socio-  economic doldrum, urging Nigerians to have faith in the leadership of the country.

                                   

 Oba Odutala therefore enjoined Nigerians to continue to pray and fast for the nation so that at all times for the benefit of the country and the citizens.
