Onisaga Of Isaga Celebrates His 30th Coronation Anniversary in Grand Style


The Palace of the Oni Saga of Isaga Kingdom  His Royal Majesty OBA Joseph Olusoji Tella  celebrated his 30th coronation anniversary as top government functionaries, politicians such as Hon. Olumide Osoba , a Nigerian politician at the House of Representatives level. Olumide Osoba currently serves as the Federal Representative representing Odeda/Obafemi Owode/Abeokuta North constituency in the 9th National Assembly, and also the APC Chairman Abeokuta North Local Government Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde was also present at the event.

Royal fathers, businessmen and women, socialites, society women and corporate individuals stormed the ancient town of Isaga Orile Ogun State to celebrate the 30th coronation anniversary of Oba Joseph Oladele Olusoji who mounted the throne of his ancestors this time 30years ago.

Some of the activities that made the event memorable included the prayers by Christian  clerics, presentation of gifts by the friends of Isaga .

The anniversary celebration came  with a special thanksgiving service  held at the  Rev. Fry Memorial  Anglican Church, Isaga Orile Diocese of Yewa.


Let’s quickly tell you that Oba Joseph Oladele Olusoji Tella


He was born in Isaga Orile on December 8 1930 he attended primary school at rev.fry memorial Anglican church school Isaga- Orile ,  Ikereku United School and Christ Church School Ilaro and passed Middle 2 in 1947.   

He started teaching in 1948 and left in 1951 for private professional study in secretarial studies  he worked in several places like diocesan Education office, Molete , lbadan  royal, Exchange Assurance, Ibadan, unity Life and fire insurance of Ibadan, Faculty of Medicine, U.I /U.C.H  Where he rose to the position of Departmental Secretary Grade in the Department of Radiology. He retired voluntarily in 1977 and joined Unity Like and fire insurance company as an Area superintendent for Ogun State. He left the Post in 1984 and became a poultry farmer. He Wes installed the   Onisaga of lsaga on  December 18,1991.


Community Involvement


His love for his community dates back to his youthful days when he was at Ibadan , He came home once every month to visit his people and to worship at the church in Isaga v. He usually tells his fellow men when going to Isaga that I am going to 'my  London  '. During his stay in Abeokuta , he worshipped always at his home Church , Rev. Fry Memorial Ang. Church , Isaga Orile .

Before his installation as Onisaga, he was the President of I.I.A ( Isaga Improvement Association) having held various positions in the Association. This Association is decided to the improvement and progress of Isaga.

For about eight (8) years , he has organized a programme in OGBC titled " Omo ahere Owo" every Friday by 6:00pm , appealing to all sons and daughters of Isaga both at home and in diaspora to come home and develop Isaga to an enviable position.


Award


He got award from Abeokuta North Local Government Council for his community development activities. Also, he was given an award in 2007 by the National Association of Ogun State Students ( NAOSS). Osun Polytechnic, iree chapter in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of education on his community.

He was also presented with appreciation award by the international Association of Lions  Club ( Agege Lions Club) district 404B Nigeria In October 2005.

He is a fellow of certified Institute of Public Administrators, Ghana . His name was also listed in a book published by Lichfield communication Ltd. Titled " Heroes and Heroines of Yoruba Nation in Nigeria" for his worthy contribution to the growth and development of his area. The book was published on the 29th of December , 2011.                 

Religious Activities


As an Anglican member from birth, he has been involved in the advancement of the church particularly the home Church. He has also  contributed  his quota whenever called upon to do so at the Archeaconry or Diocesan level. He  was synod delegate from Isaga to in the then Egba/ Egbado Diocese and briefo when Egbado( Yewa) became a Diocese.
