Veemen Patron, Mr Oluwafemi Iyiola Alabi addressing the press

Speaking with newsmen after the event, the grand patron of the club Mr oluwafemi iyiola Alabi, stressed that the Club have shown exemplary performance beyond other social club he have witnessed in the last 50 years.

His words " Veemen are group of men that are respectable in the society and what they have contributed actually amaze me by giving back to the society.

"Their contribution to their immediate community and the outside communities is highly commendable .

"If other club can emulate what they have been doing, the community at large will be better."

He therefore advice parents to take up their responsibilities saying that  that children and Youth are the future of tomorrow which they will fall back by the time they go older.

"The parents should make sure that their children are well educated so that they can contribute meaningfully and add value to the entire community and Nigeria at large.

The guest lecturer Dr Goke Rauf

The guest speaker of the event Dr Goke Rauf who is also a renowned journalism Lecturer at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta in his lecture titled "Moral Decadance: Bad Parenting And Social Media Effects On Children. The Way Out". The Lecturer said  parenting style can affect everything from how much a child weighs to how she feels about herself.

According to him "It's important to ensure your parenting style is supporting healthy growth and development because the way you interact with your child and how you discipline her will influence her for the rest of her life.

" I believe the relationship we have with our children is the most important element of parenting. It is the value of our connection that determines how well they listen to us, accept our limits and values, and cooperate.
If they don’t, they are more likely to find solace in social media and adopt their negative teachings’.

He advised parents to connect with their child.Laugh together, spend time together, and connect positively every day.

"Talk and Listen Parents often spend a lot of their time with their kids talking to them rather than with them. Practice listening to your kids and really giving them your full attention (away from a computer or phone screen). You'll be surprised by how much more you feel connected to your child, and you'll likely learn about lots of things your child is thinking and feeling.
The best part: You'll be also showing your child how they can give you their undivided attention when you want to discuss something with them."
