The President of Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ABEOCCIMA), Jare Oyesola appreciated what the State government have been doing in agric sector.
Oyesola disclosed this while presenting an Award of Commendation to the Commissioner of Agriculture in Ogun State Dr Adeola Odedina.
"You told us that we should look at food security as a first step in cassava value chain.
"We are happy that with your effort in Ogun State, garri is now selling two hundred or two hundred fifty naira (N200/N250) per congo.
"But we are part of those farmers that went to the farm; we are part of those you supported with cassava scheme; we are part of those you supported with fertiliser; we are part of those you supported with ideas on cassava. We are here to say thank you.
"Because with your effort, we have achieved food security in Ogun State in area of garri or fufu."
Responding shortly after receiving the award, Dr. Odedina appreciated ABEOCCIMA Team for the award which he said would spur him to do more in realization of the Agricultural Agenda of the present administration led by His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun.
According to him" I see it as an award for Ogun State government , I see it as an award for our team leader Prince Dapo Abiodun who initiated and approve agricultural road map for Ogun State.
"I also see it as an award for Ogun Agric team , we have been together in executing laudable project for Prince Dapo Abiodun.
"However I appreciate OGUNCCIMA particularly ABEOCCIMA , anything we do you're at the fore front . Continue to partner with us . If we talk about sustainability, you are the sustainability . Government will go government will come but you're always there.
" ABEOCCIMA is here forever ,so continue lead us because you're the leader in the industry" he said.
