Family Cries To Gov Abiodun Over an alleged move to annex village by Olu Siun

The family of the late Balogun Sanni fadeyi in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State has cried to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to intervene over the alleged move to annex their village, Oba-Ayegbami by suspected land grabbers.

In a peaceful protest, the Family accused the Olu of Siun, Oba Lawrence Odeyinka, of planning the action to seize land.

The members, consisting young and old people maintained that Aiyegbami Village, also known as Abule Oba, was not situated on Igbore territory.

Speaking on behalf of the extended family, Mr. Saubana Fadeyi, Chief Kashimawo Ogunbayo and Mrs. Falilat Mobolaji Kareem, while presenting a petition to the Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Hon. Adeshina Ogunsola over the issue.

They were joined by their cousins from the Ajala family who  also faulted Oba Odeyinka's claim that the village was located on Igbore land.

According to them, Oba Odeyinka's new move was informed by ulterior considerations and land speculation purposes.

They said their forebearers who were from Oba and Imo Community sections of Egbaland are the rightful owners of the land.

"Our forefathers from Oba and Imo sections of Egbaland are the  rightful owners of the land. 

"They have settled in the area for over two centuries before recently when a group of people claimed ownership of the land"

"We appeal to the Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local   Government, the state government to intervene inorder to avoid break down of law and order in the council area".
