Brigade Commander, Brigadier Gen. Isah Mahadi Abdullah ,Commander of 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala while speaking with journalists during the exercise hinted that the exercise was aimed at improving the health of the people, as well as foster better relationships between the military and civilians in the community.
Other activity lined up for the celebration also include Medical outreach for residents of the state.

His words: "We all know that a clean environment adds more to our health so we must be sure that we keep our environment clean and the Nigerian Army in particular has a very good record of keeping it's environment clean , so this is part of what we do in the barracks to ensure that our environment is clean , it's because of the importance of that , we also want to showcase it by cleaning our communities as a sure of our civil military coordination .
He advised the lafenwa community to maintain a clean environment, saying that it's impact is not only their health but the health of people living in those environment .
"My message for them is to sustain cleanliness that we have just done for them in comemomeration of Army Day Celebration.
"This environmental sanitation we have just witnessed is part of the activities . Secondly, their would be a medical outreach programme which will take place on Monday , after that, their would be some other activities for example civil military activities to showcase the Nigerian Army's civil military coordination with the civil populace .
"Then finally on the 6th of July which is on Wednesday, the event will be marked at Owerri but it will be celebrated by various formations all over the country"he submitted.
