Adebutu said part of his plan is to sponsor the Principal Cup if he eventually emerged as the governor of Ogun State come 2023.
The former lawmaker stated this while hosting the executive and members of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ogun state chapter on it’s 2 years anniversary at the Park Inn Radisson hotel, in Abeokuta on Thursday.
He also noted that if elected, he will use his experience as a farmer to make the state the food basket of the nation, adding that his emergence will attract investors to the state.
Accompanied by his Deputy Governorship candidate, Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade, He added that, “The best way out for me is to address the problem, is having political power first, and use that to turn around the fortune of the state, by encouraging investors, I believe my emergence as Governor will attract investors.
“Ogun State has no money to go forward anymore, but we will encourage investors to come. My personal money cannot solve Ogun state problems. What to do first is having political power, which I will use to address the problem, by encouraging investors and turn around the state”, he stressed
Adebutu also canvassed for the local government autonomy, saying that fund and allocations of the local government should go to directly to them to ensure better administration and development at the grassroots.
Addressing unemployment, Adebutu reteirated that agriculture and farming is a gold mine waiting to be tapped, saying that “there is nothing like agriculture. It will solve almost the unemployment rates in the country”.
” I have a thriving ranch where I have over 3,000 heads of cattle, which are being reared in a modern way.
“I have more cattles more than the Fulanis. I have a ranch, and I have over 3,000 cattles. Atiku Abubakar affirmed this when he came on a visit. I operate a ranch, and one of the biggest ranch, and nurse the cattle in a modern way. If you have time, you can as well create time to visit."
