2023: Ogun market men, women support Gov Abiodun for second term

The second term bid of the Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, received a notch higher as market men and women in the state, declared their support for the governor's continuity in office beyond 2023.

The Iyaloja-General of Ogun State, Alhaja Yemisi Abass, voiced this endorsement while fielding questions from newsmen after a closed door meeting between the market leaders from the three senatorial districts and the governor at his Oke-Mosan Office in Abeokuta.

Mrs Abass explained that the market women and men decided to  throw their weight behind the governor's second term bid as a result of his people's oriented policies and programmes as well as his excellent performance since his assumption of office three years ago.

She added that Abiodun had kept his electioneering promises through the provision of massive infrastructural amenities across the state.

She further described the governor as an achiever who has provided an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and the unflinching support he has given to market men and women towards improving on their trades.

The Iyaloja-General, however, assured that the entire market men and women across the state would work towards the re-election of the governor in order to continue the good work he has started.

Speaking, the Babaloja-General of the state who also doubles as Babaloja of Yewaland, Mr Adewale Adesina, observed that the governor had in the last three years spread developmental projects to all parts of the state, describing him as a performer that deserves a second term in office.

Adesina pointed out that the infrastructural amenities in the state are unprecedented, submitting that the second term of the governor would usher in a lot of developmental projects and growth to the state
