2023: Olufemi Ajadi Emerges Ogun NNPP Guber Candidate

Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi has emerged as the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) consensus candidate for the 2023 Ogun governorship election. 

The Chairman electoral Committee Abdullah Tukur announced him as the consensus candidate after a unanimous decision by the members of the  party executives.

The election which had the state party executives, Independent electoral commission ( INEC) on ground held its primary at the party secretariat Adatan, Abeokuta Ogun State Capital.

In his acceptance speech, Ajadi expressed satisfaction on the conduct of the exercise, saying he was happy with the election.

He said "If we should look into the situation of road in our State , aside from the State Capital, the condition of road  is very poor . By the grace of God coming 2023, there won't be a single porthole . 

"We will give our citizens, chance to communicate with government that is on board .

Ajadi appreciated the Party executives, members for their support during and after the primary election.

He applauded the effort of the State Electoral Board, delegates, Party representatives from all wards.

In his remarks, the party's state chairman, Comrade Olaposi Oginni, claimed that the people are not happy with the situation of things in the state.

"That this is why the party is introducing a very young, dynamic, and enthusiastic governor.

According to him" You saw what happened in Sango- Otta and also around the state , how do you want to maximize the economy of the State ? And the government in power are doing nothing about it.

"Youth development is going to be our priority, and one of our core priority is education, we are going to make sure that our children are well educated. We are the best and we are bringing the best to Ogun State.

"We have done the election legally in the presence of all INEC officials , security agencies and the national officers of the party including the National secretary. So we have the full backing of the electoral law .

"What we are saying as a leader of the party in Ogun State, we see that the boat and the ship of this party did not sink and that's why we remain afloat and we are still there looking forward to take over .

"What is happening in Sango Otta, is not what everybody pray for, it's telling us that there's no Government in Ogun State ".
