2023: Over 10,000 party members dump APC, ADC, APM for PDP in Ogun

Ahead of the 2023 general election, no fewer than 10,000 members of All Progressive Congress (APC) , African Democratic Congress(ADC) , and Allied People's Movement (APM) in Ogun State have defected to the People's Democratic Party (PDP)

The defectors who were members of senator Ibikunle Amosun factions were received by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by the Chairman, Sikirullahi Ogundele on Friday.

Receiving the new members, the Party Chairman thanked them for joining the party.

Meanwhile, the Governorship candidate of the Party Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu hinted that his ambition is to complete the second term of the Ijebu-Remo zone currently occupied by the incumbent governor, Dapo Abiodun

He lamented that the current administration of his 'brother', Dapo Abiodun has done more harm to the zone, adding that he should be given the opportunity to complete the second term to rewrite the wrong done by the incumbent.

According to him "When Amosun did road construction, he did something that would last up to 100 years, but my brother from Iperu is doing something that wouldn't last long. This is like a disservice to the Iperu zone.

"So, I beg you my people, the remaining 4 years for the Ijebu - Remo zone should not be wasted. Let me, Ladi Adebutu do the remaining 4 years, please", he pleased

Adebutu who had earlier eulogised the development efforts of previous administrations in the State however chided the present administration of Dapo Abiodun for taking the state backward.

He however hinted that if given the mandate of the people in 2023, he will accelerate the socio-economic development of the state.
