Pa Ayanlaja: Let's live life of positive impact, Abiodun admonishes

The Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has admonished people in the state to live impactful lives that will benefit humanity.

Abiodun, who also noted that life is trasient, said that since man has limited time on earth, it should be used for the service of God and humanity at all times.

The governor gave this administration while speaking at the funeral mass for Pa Olatunji Ayanlaja, held at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Esure, Ijebu-Imusin, Ogun State.

Abiodun said Pa Ayanlaja lived a simple life and impacted on his community, profession and all those who he came in contact with while alive.

"Pa Olatunji Ayanlaja was from a humble beginning, but through hard work and dedication rose to greatness and pinnacle of his career. He was brilliant, bold, brunt and forthright.

"He was a socialite with deep cultural values as well as a devoted Christian. A loving father, a reliable partner to his wife", he said.

While extending his condolences to the family, the governor prayed that God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss

Rev. Father Ogunyinka, in his sermon titled "The time is short", and Bible text from Ecclesiastes 3:1-4, said birthdays and deaths are the two notable dates in man's life, urging people to do good at all times as they would give account of their lives to the Creator.

The priest flayed Nigerians who use their positions to oppress others, saying the country is bleeding because those in authority have looted and acquired useless wealth and plunge the country into a land of hunger, insecurity and desperation.

While describing death as the separation of the soul from the body, Rev. Ogunyinka said Pa Ayanlaja was a man of dignity, honour and peace, who used his resources to serve God and impacted positively on the lives of those who crossed his path while alive.
