Igbo Community Endorses Dapo Abiodun For Second Term

The Igbo Community in Ogun State has given Governor Dapo Abiodun its support for a second term in office.

The community endorsed the Governor during  the 2022 Yam festival held in Ifo, Ogun State.

The Governor of Ogun State Prince Dapo Abiodun represented by his Deputy Engineer Noimot Salako Oyedele congratulated the Eze Ndi-Igbo of Ogun State, Eze Willy Okonkwo Igbo 1 Ogun State and the entire Ndi-Igbo in Ogun State on the celebration of the New Yam Festival supported by the Chairman , Ifo local government Hon Kikelomo.
Eze Willy commended His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR for the giant strides he has taken to develop Ogun State and pledged the support of the Ndi-Igbo towards His Excellency's re-election.  

The Governor of Ogun State  was presented with an Award in Appreciation of his immense contribution to the progress and development of the Igbo Community in Ogun State.

Governor Abiodun thanked the Igbo community for the endorsement and assured them that Ogun State, which they now call home will always welcome them. 
He stated that the Ogun State Government will continue to implement policies that create an environment for sustained economic growth. 

The Special assistant on inter-ethnics affairs to the Governor Hon. Monday Chukwuji said that the Governor's achievements have been amazing.

"We want to utilize this opportunity to announce our complete support for your second term in office.The Igbos will continue to support the state government.

 The  governor was reassured by Hon. Monday, who said, "We are solidly behind you in all your developmental projects”.

He therefore appreciated Governor Abiodun's Giant Strides towards restructuring Ogun State.
Meanwhile, Igbo Community youth leader in Ogun State , Mr. Ukwueze Solomon Humphrey said that Prince Dapo Abiodun had demonstrated his merit for a second term in office based on his track record of accomplishments during his first tenure in office.


He said, "Over the past three years, Ogun State's political climate has been so tranquil because of the Governor's attitude.

"We are quite happy with the Governor's actions, especially the way he has included young people in his administration.

According to Mrs. Joy Emeje, an influential Igbo woman leader in the state said that the state is fortunate to have a hardworking and vibrant leader like Governor Abiodun, who has left a lasting impression on all areas of the state.

She therefore urged Igbo people in the state to collect their PVC's and vote for Prince Dapo Abiodun come 2023.

Dignitaries present were: The Deputy Governor of Ogun State Engineer Noimot Salako Oyedele, Special assistant on inter-ethnics affairs Hon. Monday Chukwuji, Chairman Ifo local government Hon. Kikelomo Delano.
Other dignitaries also include: the Sariki Hausa of Egba land and Financial Secretary, Association of Non Indigenes Resident in Ogun State, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Hassan. The Vice President of Association of Non Indigenes Resident in Ogun State, Pastor Richard Osuagwu.
