Ogun State Government to reconstruct Lisa road soon

Ogun state government will soon reconstruct Ijoko- Oyero- Oluke- Lisa road to ease the pains and the burden of the people of the communities.                                        

The state commissioner for culture and tourism,Mrs Adijat Oladapo- Adeleye disclosed this at the weekend during the maiden edition of Irewolede Area CDC Community day, Lisa in Ifo local government area of Ogun state.                                          

Mrs Oladapo-Adeleye said that it was regrettable that past administrations in the state neglected the road which was constructed as a result of Plane crash in Lisa in 2005.                                      

She pointed out that if the road had been witnessing regular maintenance, it wouldn't have gotten to that bad condition.                                                  

The state commissioner appealed to the residents of the affected areas to be patience with the state government, saying that the present administration is fully determined to put smiles on the  faces of the people of the state through the on going massive infrastructural projects in the state.                                                  

On the moribund memorial arcade in Lisa, the state commissioner said that it was shocking that such revenue generating arcade would be abandoned by the past government, saying that the arcade was put in place to honour the notable Nigerians who lost their lives in the plane crash in Lisa in 2005.                                                       

She therefore urged all members of Community Development Associations in Lisa to continue to partner with the state government by complementing the efforts of Prince Dapo Abiodun- led administration to make life more meaningful to the people of the area.                      

The Olu of Lisa kingdom, Oba Oladele Odugbemi appealed to the state government to match its words with action by as a matter of urgency resuscitate the memorial arcade in Lisa.                                    

On the deplorable road leading to Lisa Community, Oba Odugbemi said that it is long overdue thereby urging the present administration in the state to fix the road without further delay in order to promote business activities in Lisa.                                                       

The monarch assured the people of Lisa that he will not stop providing infrastructure and basic amenities to the community, saying that his joy is to see his subjects leaving a happy and meaningful lives.                                    

The chairman of Ifo local government, Mrs Kikelomo Delano promised the people of Lisa that the community will soon feel the presence of the local government within its limited resources.                                

Mrs Delano commended the monarch for being the rock and pillar of the community and beyond, calling on the royal father not to be deterred to continue to  meet the needs of his people and the community.                                        

Earlier in his welcome address, the chairman of Irewolede CDC in Lisa, Mr Akinsola Sunday who duobles as the Tayese of Lisa kingdom appealed to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to come quickly to the aid of the residents of the affected communities by fixing the deplorable road  to avoid further loss of lives of innocent people plying the road.                                           

Mr Sunday regretted the backwardness this deplorable road has given to Lisa community and the attendant loss of agricultural products calling on the state government for speedy intervention.
