He was presented with the award on Wednesday while paying a courtesy visit to the Community Development Council in Abeokuta North local government.
The Zonal Chairman of the Local Government Community Development Council , Chief Kazeem Ayoola Ajagunjeun who presented the award described Tella as a man of his words.
He added that he is an outstanding community development leader.
The Zonal chairman maintained that Tella when he was a caretaker chairman performed wonderfully well, adding that his past records has shown he is capable to represent Abeokuta North Local Government at the state assembly.
Ajagunjeun explained further that while he was the transition Chairman he made sure the people get parcel for the Secretariat of the entire community development in Abeokuta North Local Government.
He submitted that the son of Onisaga of Isaga happened to be the first chairman that will sponsor members of the local government to the social development institute in shasha which really goes a long way when it comes to community development practice.
"Tella is a man of his words, and he's man of high repute, we appreciate him and we wish him all the best."
In his remarks, Prince Dr Babatunde Tella appreciated them for the honour bestowed on him , he urged them to rallied support for a presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Hamed Tinubu.
Tella said Tinubu is the only candidate that is capable to rule the country, adding that other candidates lack capability to rule.
He also urged the residents of Ogun State to support the re-election bid of Prince Dapo Abiodun and to support other APC candidates in the State.
Tella disclosed this while paying a courtesy visit to the Community Development Committee leaders and members in Abeokuta North Local Government Zonal area of Ogun State to seek for their support ahead of the 2023 general elections.
He added that Abiodun since his assumption has performed beyond the expectations of the residents of the State.
Tella said "we all regard him as a silent achiever , he's not making noise yet the project are making the noise. The projects are working for him and projecting his image positively. The projects that he has done and still doing is showcasing the personality of Dapo Abiodun as a great developer.
"So I want to appeal to our people both in Abeokuta North Local Government and in Ogun State to also cast their vote for Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun as the next Governor of Ogun State .
"As for the House of representatives, the person APC has presented, is Hon Olumide Osoba, he's our incumbent and he's the current House of representatives member representing Odeda, Obafemi-Owode and Abeokuta North. We have seen all his projects , I want us to also support him so that he can continue to do more for us.
"As regards the Senate, the APC candidate, is the former Chief of Staff to our Governor , Alhaji Shuaib Salisu from Odeda local government , he is a man that is credible, highly religious , highly talented and a man of his words. Among all the candidates, he's the only candidate that this senatorial district can present that can perform creditably well.
''I challenge all other candidates for intellectual discourse , you'll see that Alhaji Shuaib Salisu will shine, I have no doubt in my mind that he's the right man for the job and apart from that, he's a man known in our locality, he knows what we need in all the local governments
"Everything that he will be doing there will be in consonance with the program and progress of this present government , so I want to appeal to our people to vote for him and as for the house of Assembly, I'm the right candidate''.
