Manchester City defeated 10-man Wolves 3-0 at Molineux to move atop the Premier League. Erling Haaland scored once more.
The visitors took control thanks to goals from Jack Grealish and Haaland in the first half, and Phil Foden added the winning goal midway through the second. Haaland has now scored in each of his first four away Premier League matches, a new mark.
Nathan Collins was given a straight red card for a high challenge on Grealish, forcing Wolves to play the final few minutes of the game with a numerical disadvantage.
The City club under Pep Guardiola has now won each of the previous five league encounters between these rivals, scoring 16 goals and allowing just three.
It took City just 55 seconds to take the lead this time as Foden and Kevin De Bruyne combined on a quick attack before Grealish put the final touch on the latter's cross in May when City scored five goals at Molineux.
Before City extended their advantage in the 16th minute, Goncalo Guedes was denied from a tight angle at the other end. Bernardo Silva released Haaland after another rapid break, and Haaland beat Jose Sa with a low 20-yard shot.
When Collins was given the boot for colliding with Grealish in the 33rd minute, Wolves' task was made even more challenging.
The hosts, who have the fewest goals in the Premier League this season with only three, had gone seven games without scoring in the second half. As usual, they hardly made a threat after the interval.
In the 69th minute, City took advantage by securing the victory. The visitors engaged Haaland and De Bruyne in another sweeping counter, with Foden flicking home the latter's superbly timed center.
