Arewa Community in Ogun State on Tuesday declared their unflinching support for the aspiration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Dr. Tunde Tella for the State House of Assembly in Abeokuta North State Constituency.
With wild jubilations, the crowd who received the former Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government vigorously endorsed his candidacy ahead of the 2023 general elections.
They said that they were backing the former Caretaker Chairman 's candidacy because of his antecedents and love for the development of the Local Government.
The Seriki Hausawa of Egbaland, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan Hassan disclosed this when the House of Assembly candidate paid him and his people a visit to seek for their support and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
He maintained that the Community will vote massively for all APC candidates in the State.
Alhaji Hassan vowed that he would mobilize his people in the state to work for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of the Country.
The Hausa Community leader also declared his support for the re-election bid of Prince Dapo Abiodun, describing him as a man of his words, saying that he is an outstanding Governor.
The Seriki Hausawa of Egbaland said that the Hausas have benefitted a lot from the current administration, appreciating the Governor for appointing one of them as one of his aides.
He assured that they will all come out enmass on the election day and vote in all APC candidates.
He said ''My people have no choice than to vote for Dapo Abiodun, Tunde Tella, Tinubu and all APC candidates at the polls.” We are for APC and not for any other parties.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi urged residents of the community not to allow anyone from other Political Parties to change their minds, saying that APC is a progressive party which will not fail them.
She called on the members of the community to vote for all APC candidates in the State, especially the Governor of Ogun State and also to elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.
The APC Chairman informed that Tinubu remains the most qualified candidate and the best man for the job.
She revealed that the Governor of Ogun State deserves a second term for his good deeds to the residents of the State.
Faidat added that Abiodun's achievements since his assumption in office can not be undermined.
Also, the special assistant on inter-ethnics affairs to the Governor Prince Hadi Sani , maintained that his people will cast their votes for all APC candidates in the State, saying that they have no choice than to vote for Tinubu, Abiodun and other APC candidates in the State ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
The House of Assembly candidate while speaking to newsmen pledged that he would provide quality representation for the members of the community.
He also appealed to residents of the Community to support his aspiration in the interest of equity and fairness.
Tella promised to always liaise with the members of his constituency to ensure their needs are catered for in the annual State budget.
He appealed to all residents of the State to cast their votes for all APC candidates in the 2023 general elections.
The House of Assembly candidate said there are more positive things to come for the people from APC-led Government.
He said "As you're aware, INEC has lifted ban on campaign, so before we start visiting the wards, I felt it's imperative to meet the Hausa community who has been with us since the local government was created, they've been part of us, and they formed the majority in Sabo area and as you know ward 9 falls in Sabo, so before we start any campaign we need to meet all the interest groups that would contribute to our success in the forthcoming election . So that's why I visited their head who is the Seriki, and other members of their community to solicit for their votes both for myself and for all the APC candidates Including Governor Dapo Abiodun .
"The meeting was fine , it was well attended, before we go to them, they've already decided that they're going to vote for all APC candidates.
"More importantantly , one of their sons, Prince Hadi Sani, he's one of the special assistant to our amiable Governor and he has been doing well and he was also given that position with a support of the Seriki himself , I think they appreciate that gesture , because of that we can see that the meeting went well and we are very glad for the reception they gave us''
"I am seeking for a seat in the House of Assembly to provide a quality representation for the people of Abeokuta North Local Government and to raise the bar of political representation, demonstrate leadership capacity that will surpass our previous and current experience, as well as address the weaknesses of previous administration to set a prospect for the future"
The Dignitaries present were, the Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Ayorinde, his vice, Chief Ahmed Taiwo who delivered a speech stating the position of the Isaga Council of Chiefs as solid as the rock behind all APC Candidates in the State and in particular, their son who is contesting the House of Assembly seat, the two Governor's Liaison Officers, Hon. Wale Bello and Hon Tajudeen Ishola, former APC caretaker chairman, Hon. Akeem Shobayo, Hon. Olufemi Adiro, Prince Ifekayode Akinbode, the spokesman of the Governor and other chieftains of the APC including the Councillors and members of the Local Government executives of the Party in the Local Government.
