APC Leaders empower Abeokuta South residents with cash

The Leadership  of All Progressives Congress, APC in the Premier Local Government, Abeokuta South on Wednesday doled out huge cash  empowerment to their members in order to reduce poverty level among them.

The empowerment cuts across the 15 wards in the local government where 5 party members were picked from each ward.

The beneficiaries of the cash empowerment were the aged, youths and some petty traders so as to support their respective businesses.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in  Abeokuta South Local Goverment, Hon. Henry Fagbenro  noted that empowerment remained the best way to support their members who are seriously in need as to give them sense of belonging.

Fagbenro noted that the party’s leadership is poised to ensure that every party member enjoys the dividend of democracy.

He assured that current administration led by Dr. Prince Dapo Abiodun will continue in delivering dividends of democracy to them.

According to him, the programme was put together to assist the poor,assuring that all the concerned members will benefit from the programme.

He promised that the programme will run throughout the tenure of the current administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

The party Chairman urged the beneficiaries to judiciously use the money given to them to argument their businesses.

He appealed to all members of the party and the residents of the State to mobilize massively for the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun, adding that Abiodun must return.

Also speaking, Rt Hon. Titi Oseni said that the party(APC) remains the only party that can better the lives of the people, calling on them to shun any other political parties.

 Gomex added that the programme was put together by the leadership of the party in Abeokuta South Local Government with a view to putting smiles on the faces of beneficiaries adding that the gesture would be sustained. 

The beneficiaries appreciated the leadership of the party for the cash empowerment, saying that the party has not failed them.

They vowed that they will reciprocate the kind gesture by casting their votes for all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The party also flagged off the campaign for the forthcoming general elections in the local government.

Also during the programme some members of the  People's Democratic Party, PDP defected to All Progressives Congress, APC.

Some of them who spoke with newsmen disclosed they have decided to leave PDP because of the great achievement of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Laja majekodunmi, Hon. Sotayo Iretiolu, Hon. Afolabi Moruf Afuape, Hon. Oluwatobi Taiwo Doregoes, Hon. Wasiu Ayodele Igbalaye IWA, Chief Nurudeen olaleye, Hon. Karounwi, Hon. Adetunji Henry Fagbenro, Chief Olumide,Hon. Balogun Olaniyi Afeez, Chief Lekan Adegun, All chairmen, Councillors, Hon. Mustapha Kodaolu MKO, Hon. Saburi Adefolu Ebe, prince Adeniyi Edun Oniro etc
