2023: APC leaders in Abeokuta North LG urge youths to play active roles in politics

Ahead of February's election,  the All Progressive Congress APC in Abeokuta North Local Government in Ogun State have called on Nigerian youths to wake up to their responsibilities in the choice of leaders  if they want to see positive changes in the country, as the future of the nation depends on them.

The call was made yesterday, during the 10th anniversary of Istijaba football lovers fan club held at the Comprehensive Academy auditorium, Lafenwa Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The youths were also admonished to work towards becoming selfless politicians who are ready to serve and contribute positively to the betterment of their immediate society and the nation at large because they are not offering as much as is expected of them.

The guest lecturer and the Director-General APC campaign council in Abeokuta North Local Government Hon Femi Adiro charged youths to be united in their doings, as much could be achieved if they are united, urging them to identify and pursue who they want to be early in life.

He also urged them not to be an instrument of destruction in the forthcoming general election.

Adiro said: “The youth  should be a politician with dignity, pride and sanity, that is the hallmark. Just be a politician that is ready to contribute positively, not one that is after money  but one that is ready to deliver and serve the society.”

In her remarks, the All Progressive Congress APC Chairman in the local government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde said the Istijaba Football lovers fan Club have done their  best as  organizing football  competition would bring out hidden football talents in the youths, who could be showcased to the world for future benefit to themselves and the Nation.
