The road commissioning was part of the Governor campaign's tour to Odogbolu local government .
Speaking, Governor Abiodun said the road is another mile stone in the Infrastructural development which is required for the transformation of socio- economic activities the gateway state.
His words "In the last few days we started our campaign, what we are doing is very unique and different, in each local government .
"We commissioned a land- mark people oriented project. We are not coming here today to tell you that you should vote for us, we are pointing to projects that we can touch, see and feel.
"In line with our vision of providing an enabling environment for public private enterprise because we believe that it's very fundamental to the individual prosperity of our people.
"We are comissioning 18km road in Idowa, this is a connection road between Ogun State and lagos State.
"For the avoidance of doubt, this road is yet another federal road. We would be irresponsible as an administration if we sit by and let our people suffer.
"We are building the first international Agro Cargo Airport in Ogun State, by the grace of God by May 29, all of us will witness the commissioning of the airport".
In his remarks, the Commissioner for works and infrastructure in Ogun State Engineer Adebowale Akinsanya explained that Ejinrin-Idowa-Awa-Ibefun-Itokin road was in the past a completely failed asphaltic road that was posing serious challenges to motorists, residents and other road users.
The commissioner added that with the rehabilitation of the road however, huge succour has been brought to the area and to the motorists plying the road.
According to him" the road, which is a link road to Ikorodu in Lagos State is provided with trapezoidal drainage and culverts to avert flooding and water deposits on the road.
" Aside from these, the road provides easy accessibility to Health facilities, schools and industries along the route as all these also affects the economic development of the area positively.
" It is pertinent to mention here that a number of completed road projects are still on the wait list of commissioning by His Excellency in the Three (3) Senatorial Districts of our dear State."
