A release by the Clerk of the Assembly/ Head of Legislative Service, Mr. ‘Deji Adeyemo, indicated that the exercise which is part of the oversight functions of the legislative arm of Government towards ensuring compliance with the appropriation act with a view to promoting accountability and transparency, is in consonance with Sections 128 and 129 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).
According to the release, the budget performance assessment, would commence at 10:00am daily and end on Friday 21st of April, 2023.
The release urged all MDAs, as well as Local Government Councils to make available relevant documents and information to ensure the success of the exercise.
