Abeokuta North leaders appeal to aggrieved Legislators to lift suspension on Council Chairman

Ward leaders in Abeokuta North Local Government, Ogun State have appealed to the aggrieved Legislators in the local government to lift suspension on the Council chairman, Hon. Abdulsalam Ayorinde for peace to reign.

The leaders urged the legislators to set aside their differences and reconcile with the council chairman.

They called  on them  to sheath their swords and embrace peace with the council chairman.

Recall that Hon. Ayorinde was suspended by 10 legislators out of 16 over an alleged fraud in the council .

The ward leaders maintained the reason for their intervention is to ensure that there is harmony and peace under the leadership of the party chairman, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi.

The Chairman of the ward leaders, Hon Aliu Omosowon from ward 16 disclosed this during a crucial meeting held at the Party secretariat on Wednesday in Abeokuta .

Omosowon called on the councillors and the chairman to embrace peace, saying that peace must reign in Abeokuta North.

He therefore urged all political leaders in the local government to intervene as to  resolve the issue.
