Amb. Ogunsola Adesina expressed his congratulations to CP. Alamutu Abiodun Mustapha on his recent appointment to the esteemed position of Commissioner of Police in the Nigeria Police Force.
He commended CP. Mustapha's wealth of experience, particularly during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.
The chairman emphasized his commitment to working closely with CP. Alamutu and his team to develop innovative strategies and initiatives aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of the people residing in Obafemi Owode Local Government and throughout Ogun State.
He also highlighted the vastness of the council area, which faces numerous security challenges, including kidnapping, insurgency, cultism, human and drug trafficking, immigration issues, land disputes, religious conflicts, anti-open grazing concerns, and ritual killings.
Acknowledging the commendable efforts of the Divisional Police Force in addressing these security threats, Amb. Ogunsola praised their proactive measures in curtailing these issues and expelling unwanted elements from the region.
He expressed appreciation for the competence and dedication of key members of the police force in Ogun State, including Area Commander ACP. Adedeji Adeniji, CSP. Popoola, and others.
Amb. Ogunsola underscored the local government's commitment to fostering a strong partnership with the police force, citing their frequent visits to various police divisions in both the local government and Ogun State Command.
In response, CP. Alamutu Abiodun acknowledged Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre as the first local government chairman to actively engage with and support the police by touring all divisions within his jurisdiction since taking office.
He issued a stern warning to those intent on causing harm in Ogun State, urging them to desist from their unlawful activities or leave the state.
Alamutu also addressed the issue of land grabbers, stating that his team would not tolerate such activities within the state.
