The joint exercise was part of routine physical exercise jointly conducted by the Nigerian Army and other security agencies.
The event, which commenced from the MKO Abiola international Stadium and covered a route through several key areas of the state, was attended by a multitude of personnel.
Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, the Commander of the 35 Artillery Brigade while addressing participants expressed his commendation for the significant turnout and praised participants for completing the challenging 10-kilometer walk.
The Commander highlighted the paramount importance of physical fitness for security personnel to effectively carry out their duties, emphasizing the need for regular training and collective exercises.
"This is an exercise that is conducted not only in the military but also in the police and other security agencies,"
"Coming together to do this jointly exercise is to strengthen that relationship that is already with us within the security agencies and also to try and foster the spirit of friendship and I think by doing that, we'll get to know more about ourselves much better .
“As security agencies, we are supposed to do operation jointly, but it is not only operation, we are supposed to do joint training and do games together.
“These activities are aimed to strengthen the existing synergy, ” he said.
Aminu also disclosed that by next week the military would begin exercise ” Still Water”, saying all security agencies would be involved.
The commander explained that the operation was aimed toward the ‘Ember Months’ to tackle security challenges that could arise during the period.
“It is a yearly operation throughout the country and the exercise is till January, ” he said.
The route match served as a means to strengthen relationships among the various security agencies.
Commandant David Idowu Ojelabi of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command, emphasized the significance of interagency collaboration.
"Working together will not be an issue, and we believe Nigeria will be a better and more peaceful place for us," he declared, highlighting the importance of joint training and planning.
