Lanre Mosaku Movement Brings Relief to Widows in Ogun

In a dedicated mission to combat poverty and provide assistance to widows in Ogun State, the non-governmental organization known as Lanre Mosaku Movement (LAMM) has extended a helping hand to the widows of a Baptist Church in Ogun State.

This relief came in the form of a monetary donation to the beneficiaries during the 120th-anniversary celebration of Owu Baptist Church in Abeokuta, a momentous event attended by various Baptist Churches in Ogun.

The Coordinator of the LAMM, Hon. Adebare Ariyibi presented the palliative to widows and stated that the effort of LAMM to help the less privileged and other people to achieve their dreams was born out of passion to help people, which caused the formulation of the movement.

He disclosed that the movement has empowered over 250 personnel in different cadres, adding it students and teachers also benefited from the movement within the last 6 months of establishing the movement.

"This movement is a nongovernmental organization, and it was established to help the less privileged and was borne out of the passion to help people achieve their dreams in life".

"Within the last 6 months of establishment, the movement has empowered not less than 250 personnel in the different cadre, which included the donation of textbooks to students, and teachers were encouraged to do more by giving them some cash to enable them to do more, including widows and widowers relief support."

"This is not the first time we have given relief to the people and helping them achieve their desires in life, today, we have 15 beneficiaries in Owu Baptist church, and we also have beneficiaries in Kere, Ogbe, and Olosun Baptist churches".

"As the government is doing it's own palliative, we thought it necessary to do our own too by giving relief materials to the needy".

Speaking with one of the beneficiaries at the Owu Baptist Church, Mrs. Felicia Ikusika appreciated the kind gesture to them, saying that Hon. Lanre is known for humility and a good heart, praying that God will continue to elevate the movement.
