Christmas: Ogun lawmaker Tella tasks Christians on peace, love, unity

In a heartfelt Christmas message, Hon. Babatunde Tella, a distinguished member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, has called on Christians and all Nigerians to prioritize peace , love and unity for the betterment of the Nation, especially during the Christmas season and beyond.

Tella disclosed this in a statement released on Monday in Abeokuta,Ogun State.

 Hon. Tella, who also serves as the Deputy Chief Whip in the Ogun Assembly, emphasized the significance of reflecting on the season towards fostering a more peaceful society.

 He urged Christians to use this festive period to contemplate the values of love, peace, tolerance, and forgiveness as exemplified in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

"On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire people of Abeokuta North State Constituency, I wish to congratulate the Christians in my constituency and all over the world on the celebration of Christmas, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ."

He further implored citizens to maintain a spirit of brotherhood, respect for constituted authorities, and collective prayers for the unity, peace, and development of the Nation.

"I want to use this medium to call on the people of my Constituency and Nigerians to continue to live in peace, be their brother’s keeper and respect constituted authorities for development to thrive," he stated.

Hon. Tella highlighted the importance of extending gestures of friendship and support to the less fortunate in society. 

He stressed that reaching out to the needy contributes to their happiness, improves their standard of living, and enables them to make positive contributions to the development of the society.
