The former Special Assistant to the Governor made the statement while delivering his opening address at the Dapo Abiodun Youth End of the Year Party & Empowerment Program held on Friday, 22nd December 2023 at the Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the state capital.
The program featured a wide range of activities. The program kicked off with a thought-provoking Lecture centred around the theme "The Role of Youth in Achieving Sustainable Peace and Development in Ogun State." Esteemed speakers shared insights and actionable strategies to foster peace and development within the state.
The event also featured an Empowerment Program which was majorly sponsored by the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun. Hundreds of valuable electronics and food items were distributed amongst the attending youths, adding an element of excitement and anticipation to the event.
Aroboto noted that, under Governor Abiodun's visionary leadership, the state has witnessed a plethora of exceptional youth development programs aimed at nurturing and equipping the younger generation for a brighter future. This unyielding commitment to the welfare and progress of the youth has impressed Aroboto and prompted him to express his profound gratitude for the transformative initiatives introduced by the state government.
As the former Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth and Sports, Aroboto had a front-row seat to witness the impactful interventions implemented by Governor Abiodun's administration. Aroboto testified to the unwavering dedication displayed by the Governor in fostering an environment conducive to the personal and professional growth of the youth in Ogun State.
Aroboto also extolled the Dapo Abiodun Youth End of the Year Party & Empowerment, which witnessed an overwhelming turnout of enthusiastic young individuals eager to partake in a celebration of their accomplishments while receiving valuable guidance for their future endeavours. The event undoubtedly catalyzed motivating and energizing these vibrant young minds.
He stressed further, "Governor Abiodun's youth development programs go beyond mere rhetoric; they are backed by concrete actions. Through various skill acquisition and capacity-building initiatives, the government has successfully provided avenues for the youth to acquire knowledge, develop entrepreneurial skills, and amplify their contributions to society.
