Media personality Toke Makinwa has made it clear that she will not compromise her lifestyle, even amid Nigeria's current economic downturn.
Taking to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, Toke expressed her determination to uphold her standard of living regardless of the financial challenges facing the nation.
Nigeria is currently experiencing one of its most severe economic crises in recent years, with some citizens contemplating protests over worsening conditions and perceived poor governance.
In the midst of this turmoil, Toke Makinwa emphasized her resilience and refusal to lower her standards. "I told you, all my friends and loved ones in this season, no matter how tough the economy of the jungle gets, the lion will never eat grass," she wrote. "We are the children of the lion of the tribe of Judah. Do you know what that means? I don’t care what the economy is saying, we don’t settle for less. Do you know who our father is? We get backing."
This bold statement follows a previous incident where Toke criticized unnamed married women who once judged her, pointing out that some of them, despite being married, remain available to other men. Nonetheless, Toke extended her continued love and grace towards them.
As Nigeria grapples with economic hardships, Toke Makinwa's unwavering stance serves as a testament to her determination to thrive despite the odds.
