Two Children Kidnapped in Delta State, N1 Million Ransom Demanded

In a troubling incident, suspected kidnappers have abducted two children, aged 6 and 12, in Udu, Ovwian Local Government Area of Delta State. 


Activist Comrade Israel Joe confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, stating that the children were kidnapped on Sunday, July 21, 2024. According to Joe, the kidnappers contacted the families of the victims, demanding N500,000 each as ransom.

"On Sunday, July 21st, two children, aged 6 and 12, were kidnapped in the Ogbiki area of Udu, near Ovwian Secondary School," Joe wrote.


He further reported that the kidnappers called the parents this morning, insisting on the ransom.


"This situation is escalating. We also heard that N200,000 was paid to some keke kidnappers yesterday. Please protect your children; the society is very harsh," Joe added.


This serves as a stark reminder for parents to be vigilant in protecting their children.
