€50m, Not 25! PSG Misled Over Ademola Lookman’s Valuation as Atalanta Offers Nigerian Winger New Salary-OXYGIST

New details have emerged regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s failed attempt to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.

According to Tutto Atalanta, Lookman’s representatives initially misled PSG into believing they could secure the winger for a fee between €20-25 million. However, negotiations quickly stalled after Atalanta clarified that they valued Lookman closer to €50 million.

Lookman, eager for the move, had already agreed to personal terms with PSG and even requested to be left out of Atalanta’s Serie A opener against Lecce, signaling his willingness to leave. Despite this, PSG backed out of the deal, unwilling to meet Atalanta’s significantly higher asking price.

In the aftermath, discussions between Atalanta and Lookman’s camp reportedly took a positive turn, with both sides considering a contract extension that could see the 26-year-old’s salary adjusted.

However, the situation remains fluid. Atalanta could still entertain offers for Lookman if a substantial bid comes in, especially with interest growing from top Premier League clubs.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all closely monitoring Lookman’s situation. With PSG stepping back, these Premier League giants might be ready to make their move before the summer transfer window closes.

Currently valued at €40 million by Transfermarkt, Lookman’s price could soar to €60 million, particularly after his standout performance, including a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final.
