Controversial Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody after being detained for allegedly defaming music star Davido. The arrest stemmed from Dammy Krane's claims that Davido was involved in the death of Tagbo Umeike, a former aide to the singer.
Dammy Krane had previously alleged that Davido orchestrated his arrest, citing that the DMW boss was aware of the circumstances surrounding Tagbo’s tragic death. These accusations led to his detention, sparking concern and public outcry.
In a bid to secure his release, popular social media activist VeryDarkMan publicly appealed to Davido, urging him not to use his influence to prolong Dammy Krane's time in custody. The plea seemed to have an impact, as shortly after, a video surfaced online in which VeryDarkMan announced that Dammy Krane had been freed.
In the same video, Dammy Krane is seen offering a heartfelt apology to Davido, asking for forgiveness for the serious allegations he had made. The singer also took a moment to express his deep gratitude to VeryDarkMan for his unwavering support during the ordeal.
