In a statement released by the Alumni Association issued to newsmen on Sunday Barrister Whyte expressed pride in Karimot’s remarkable performance, stating that her success is a reflection of the high academic standards upheld by the school.
He further noted that her accomplishment serves as an inspiration to other students of Comprehensive Academy and beyond.
His words"Adiro Karimot has made us all proud. Her dedication, hard work, and excellence in this competition have set a new benchmark for academic achievement in our school.
" We, the alumni, are confident that she will continue to excel in her academic journey and make greater contributions to society in the future."
While speaking with Oxygist, the Principal of Comprehensive Academy, Dr. Wale Bello reaffirmed the school’s commitment to academic excellence, highlighting the role of both biological and environmental factors in the success of the outstanding student.
Dr. Bello praised the academic achievements of Adiro Karimot, while encouraging other students to strive for similar success.
"Adiro’s success can be attributed to two factors, the biological factor, where a child inherits academic genes, and the environmental factor, which includes the school’s role in helping the child realize her potential.
"Adiro comes from a good home and she is fortunate to attend a school with dedicated teachers who are committed to bringing out the best in her".
Dr. Bello expressed excitement about Adiro’s future, especially as the school prepares her for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), aiming for her to emerge as one of the top candidates in the country.
He also called on other students to challenge Adiro, pushing them to achieve greater academic heights.
"I've told other students that you can see what Adiro has achieved and I'm expecting others to challenge her.I will be happy if we have more students that can challenge her . I want others to challenge Adiro so that she will know that she needs to work more.
He emphasized that Comprehensive Academy is committed to excellence, noting that nothing short of the best will be accepted from the students.
The principal highlighted the success stories of past students, including a special assistant to the governor on inter-ethnic affairs, a lawyer, a medical doctor at the state hospital, and a journalist.
"We have a product who is today the special assistant to the governor on inter ethnic affairs , we have a product who is a special assistant on employment generation to the governor, we have products who are lawyers in the country today. We have products who is at the state hospital as a medical doctor, we have products who won 20 awards as the best in the faculty at the university of Ibadan, and we have a product who is a journalist."
"I feel extremely happy and on top of the world. It shows that a lot of hard work is taking place at Comprehensive Academy. We are working tirelessly to ensure that the best students in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and UTME emerge from this school," he said.
Reflecting on the school’s history, Dr. Bello noted that Comprehensive Academy, as the first private secondary school in Abeokuta North Local Government, is fulfilling the objectives for which it was established.
He praised the collaborative efforts between parents and the school, particularly in supporting students in their final year of secondary education.
The principal also commended the contributions of parents toward the school’s development, mentioning a parent who funded the construction of a medical clinic .
"We have some parents who have contributed money for the development of the school . We have a parent who said he want to build a medical clinic for the school which he has done the foundation ."
