Senate President Godswill Akpabio has encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful, assuring that despite the nation’s challenges, brighter days lie ahead.
Speaking at an Inter-denominational Church Service held at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, as part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary celebrations, Akpabio acknowledged the difficulties the country is facing across various sectors. However, he expressed confidence that with resilience and unity, the nation would overcome them.
"The road to achieving the Nigeria of our dreams may be tough and filled with obstacles," Akpabio said. "But united by faith and love, we will prevail."
He encouraged citizens to remain patient and hopeful, emphasizing that the nation’s journey toward prosperity is only just beginning. "Nigeria’s brightest days are still to come. Together, with unwavering belief, we will build a nation that future generations will be proud of."
Akpabio also praised the resilience of Nigerians, pointing out that this spirit has carried the nation through its toughest moments, from the fight for independence to modern-day governance challenges.
“Our resilience defines us as a nation. When adversity strikes, we rise. When challenges confront us, we unite. Today, we celebrate the Nigerian spirit that has guided us through turbulent times," he remarked.
