President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). The ceremony took place at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
Justice Kekere-Ekun’s appointment comes after her confirmation by the Senate last week, following a successful screening process in the upper legislative chamber.
Her appointment follows the retirement of the former CJN, Justice Olukoyede Ariwoola. President Tinubu named Justice Kekere-Ekun as the new acting Chief Justice before her full confirmation by the Senate.
