Controversial Nigerian influencer, Bobrisky Okuneye, has reportedly been arrested at the Seme Border while allegedly attempting to flee Nigeria for Benin Republic. The arrest was revealed by popular social media critic, Verydarkman, who claimed that Bobrisky was intercepted by Nigerian immigration officers amid an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives.
In an Instagram post, Verydarkman shared the news, stating, “Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at the Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by Nigerian immigration. Let’s wait for Bob to debunk this.”
The arrest follows Bobrisky’s refusal to appear before a House of Representatives panel after being invited for questioning. The panel was set to investigate leaked audio recordings in which Bobrisky allegedly admitted to bribing officials, with the help of a "God-father," to get out of prison and have money laundering charges dropped by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
