Champions League: Leao Cautions Milan Teammates About Boniface’s Threat-OXYGIST

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao has issued a warning to his teammates about the danger posed by Bayer Leverkusen’s star striker, Victor Boniface, ahead of their Champions League showdown.

Speaking before the highly anticipated clash with Xabi Alonso’s side, Leao highlighted Boniface's skill and speed, urging caution. The former Lille winger acknowledged the Nigerian forward’s abilities, drawing attention to his teammate, Samuel Chukwueze, who had been praising Boniface earlier in the week.

“Yeah, I know him well. He’s teammates with Chukwueze in the Nigerian national team. Chukwueze’s been talking about him this week, saying he’s very technical and fast. We know we have to be careful,” Leao shared in an interview with OmaSports TV.

Leao emphasized that it’s not just Boniface that Milan should be wary of, but Bayer Leverkusen as a whole:

“The entire team is dangerous. The centre-backs, the full-backs—Frimpong and Grimaldo—are all strong players. It’s going to be a tough game, but we respect Boniface’s talent and we’re ready to face him.”

Boniface has been in excellent form for Leverkusen this season, netting three goals and providing one assist in five Bundesliga matches. Leverkusen currently sits second in the Bundesliga, while Milan is third in Serie A, just two points behind leaders Napoli.
