In a surprising turn of events, music producer Don Jazzy has donated a staggering N100 million to the NGO of social media commentator Martins Ortse, known as VeryDarkMan. The announcement came from VeryDarkMan himself on Thursday via his verified Instagram account.
On Wednesday night, VDM raised alarms when he noticed an unexpected transfer of N100 million into his NGO account, boosting the total to N170 million. In an Instagram video, he candidly shared his concerns, fearing that this substantial donation could be a setup for financial misconduct, potentially implicating him in money laundering.
“Please, Nigerians, I need your help,” he said. “Someone just sent me N100 million into my NGO account. I hope this isn’t an attempt to frame me. My account now has N170 million!”
VeryDarkMan has called on Zenith Bank, where the account is held, to investigate the source of the funds and to clear his name from any fraudulent implications. He firmly stated that he is not involved in money laundering or any illicit activities.
In his video caption, he urged, “@zenithbankplc, please look into my NGO account. I’m worried about this situation. I AM NOT INTO MONEY LAUNDERING; I DO NOT DO FRAUD (FOR THE RECORD). Nigerians, bear witness—I’m confused about what’s happening with my account.”
