First Bank of Nigeria Ltd. has assured customers that its upcoming transition to a new cloud-based procurement and supplier management platform will not impact its banking services.
Addressing recent media reports, the bank’s spokesperson, Folake Ani-Mumuney, clarified in a statement that no system upgrades affecting customer applications are planned, and all banking channels remain fully operational.
“We wish to address a misleading report circulating in the media regarding a system upgrade at FirstBank,” Ani-Mumuney stated. “The message was intended solely for our vendors, notifying them of a transition from the current I-Supplier Platform to an advanced Cloud-based Supplier Platform, which brings enhanced capabilities for supplier management. No customer-facing systems or applications are involved in this upgrade.”
FirstBank reiterated that there are no disruptions to its banking systems, customer transactions, or other channels as a result of the enhanced supplier platform. Customers can continue to rely on the bank’s commitment to providing uninterrupted and seamless service.
