The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North Local Government has formally inaugurated Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde as the Director General of its campaign team, ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at Ori-Omi in Abeokuta on Tuesday marked a significant step in the party’s preparations for the electoral contest in the local government.
Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, who also serves as the APC Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, expressed her commitment to ensure the party's victory in the forthcoming elections.
Speaking during the inauguration, she urged all members of the campaign committee to work diligently and with unwavering dedication to ensure that the APC emerges victorious at the polls.
She emphasized the importance of unity and teamwork, calling on the committee leaders to mobilize their members effectively.
Faidat urged the campaign committee members to work tirelessly in promoting the party’s message to the electorate.
“Every member of this committee has a role to play in ensuring that our great party, the APC, secures victory in this election.
"I urge all leaders in the committee to assign tasks to their members during the campaign. This is a team effort, and we must all contribute our quota to achieving success,” she said.
The newly inaugurated DG added that the campaign will officially kick off on Wednesday at Ward 2, Ikija by 10 am.
She called on all party stakeholders to be present at the event and to actively participate in the campaign activities.
“The campaign begins on Wednesday at ward two Ikija and it is crucial that all stakeholders in the party come out in full force.
"We need to connect with our voters and spread the message of the APC’s vision for Abeokuta North. Every ward and every vote counts,” she stated.
She called on members to prioritize voter education and outreach to ensure widespread support for the APC.
