PCRC Ogun Youth Wing Inducts Ifa Tantala as State Patron

The Ogun State Youth Wing of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has inducted Chief Ifagbeminiyi Atanda Baoku, popularly known as Ifa Tantala, as the Patron of the organization.

 The induction ceremony took place in Abeokuta, with the venue filled to capacity as well-wishers and dignitaries gathered to witness the prestigious event.

The Technical Youth Coordinator of the PCRC, Surveyor Bayo Oyelakin, welcomed the attendees and emphasized that Chief Baoku, the Oluwo Ifa of Egbaland, was well-deserving of the honor. 
According to Oyelakin, the award was not purchased, but earned through Chief Baoku’s significant contributions to crime-fighting efforts in the state, particularly his initiatives aimed at curbing criminal activities through the establishment of a task force targeting ritualists.

During the event, the PCRC State Chairman, Ven. Dr. Samson Kunle Popoola, delivered a lecture on the importance of the PCRC in Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole. 

He urged traditional leaders to collaborate with the police by providing crucial information to help expose criminal elements in the society.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area, CSP Hadiza Abu Oganyi, also addressed the gathering, reiterating that her office is open to any individual or group willing to support the police in making Ogun State a peaceful and crime-free environment.
Other notable attendees included the PCRC Adatan Area Chairman, Hon. Taiwo Akinlabi, ACC Yusuf Moruf of So-Safe Corps, PCRC State Executives, Youth Wing Technical Executives, representatives from the police force, traditional leaders, and members of the media.
