Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has appointed former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Josiah Kente, as Special Adviser on Political Matters, alongside 16 newly appointed Permanent Secretaries. The swearing-in ceremony took place on Thursday, October 3, in the Executive Chamber of Government House, Jalingo.
During the event, Governor Kefas emphasized the significance of integrity, professionalism, and dedication in public service. He reminded the appointees that their decisions would shape the future of the state and impact the lives of its people.
“You are the key drivers of our administration,” Kefas stated. “The people of Taraba will experience the effects of your leadership through your daily decisions and how you carry out your responsibilities.”
He charged the new appointees to keep in mind the administration’s core values—good governance, effective service delivery, teamwork, and professionalism. Kefas stressed that they must lead by example and deliver on these priorities.
Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed officials, Josiah Kente expressed his gratitude to the Governor for the opportunity to serve. He pledged unwavering dedication to upholding the trust placed in them.
