Nigerian activist Comrade Israel Joe has weighed in on the viral story of Anthony Echebiri, who accused his estranged wife of marrying another man and having a child with him while they were still legally married. The incident has stirred emotions, with many expressing outrage at the alleged actions.
In a Facebook post shared on Wednesday, November 20, Comrade Joe expressed his sympathy for Mr. Echebiri's ordeal but emphasized the importance of hearing both sides of the story. “I feel your pain, my dear brother, knowing your wife could go as far as getting pregnant for another man and marrying him while still married to you,” he wrote.
The activist, however, stressed that natural justice demands hearing from the accused party. “We would love to hear her side of the story. She might have gone to an extreme, but she isn’t a mad woman. Before we draw conclusions, her side of the narrative must be considered,” he added.
Comrade Joe noted that if the woman remains silent amidst the allegations, it could imply an admission of guilt. However, he maintained that the truth could only emerge once both perspectives are presented.
