The immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, arrived at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja under tight security for his arraignment.
Heavily armed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) were stationed around the court premises, ensuring strict security measures. Roads leading to the court were also heavily guarded to maintain order.
Dressed in a white Babanriga and radiating confidence, Bello entered the courtroom amidst chants of “Saaki” from his loyal supporters and political aides who accompanied him.
This appearance follows his visit to the EFCC on Tuesday alongside his legal team to respond to charges against him.
The court is awaiting the arrival of Justice Maryann Anenih to commence the arraignment proceedings.
Further updates on the case will be provided as events unfold........
