Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to participate in the International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources 2024 (SIREXE) conference. The high-profile event will take place from November 27 to December 2 at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre.
The invitation came from Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné, according to a statement by Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Vice President.
SIREXE, organized by the Ivorian government, serves as a global platform to discuss strategies and policies for the sustainable growth of the extractive and energy industries. Vice President Shettima is slated to share insights from Nigeria’s experience in hydrocarbon exploration and production, emphasizing the nation’s expertise in resource management.
Shettima is expected to return to Abuja later today, following his contributions to the conference's opening activities.
